Three days in Ticino
by Stephan Boog
After arrival we visited the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli located on Monte Tamaro. The church is designed by the world famous architect Mario Botta and decorated with paintings by Enzo Cucchi. A real masterpiece of contemporary architecture.
On the second day we took the cable car up to Monte Lema. Thanks to warm downdrafts visibility was quite good. The partial panorama shows the view of the mighty Alps - unfortunately marred by some clouds.
We spent the last day in the Verzasca Valley, where we filled our memory cards with pictures.
Later on the same day we enjoyed red vine and Italian delicacies in Locarno. Unfortunately, time passed very quickly. Well possible that this was not the last photo session in Ticino.
Enjoy the panoramas and pictures.
